Hi! I’m Katie.

As a kid, I wanted to be Nancy Drew — ask questions, solve mysteries and make outcomes better for people. Although I’d never quite be a sleuth in a fictional town, I pursued the next best option.

I went to the Missouri School of Journalism to be a news editor, and then went back and designed my own curriculum. I later recognized I studied “news as a product” — how media companies cultivated audiences to benefit from their reporting and developed new revenue streams in a shifting media climate to make the money necessary for supporting this important work. Through my graduate studies, I ended up discovering a whole field combining the creative and business sides I loved equally: UX design.

I’ve spent more than 8 years at Meta designing and leading teams to design products. I’ve built ways for millions of businesses to manage their communications, billions of people to find businesses and choose information to share across accounts, and tens of thousands of employees to build great experiences at scale across Meta’s expansive ecosystem.

Outside of work, you can find me on or around the Atlanta Beltline — attempting to grow a garden, planning my next trip or enjoying time with family and friends.
